SU alumnus Michael Weber announces the script for John Green’s ‘Looking For Alaska’ is complete, casting has begun

Syracuse University alumnus and screenwriter Michael Weber told The Daily Orange that the script for the movie adaptation of John Green’s “Looking For Alaska” is complete and that Paramount is currently casting the film.

“We finished ‘Looking For Alaska’ and they are casting it now,” said Weber. “We are going to start shooting, I think, at the end of this summer.”

This announcement comes after John Green tweeted that Electrick Children had been chosen to direct Paramount’s “Looking For Alaska,” on June 24.

Weber co-wrote the script along with Scott Neustadter. The duo also penned the adaptation for John Green’s “Paper Towns” and “The Fault in Our Stars.”
