A water main break has shut down Marshall Street Saturday morning, forcing many restaurants to close.
As of 12:30 Saturday afternoon multiple restaurants including Chipotle, Bleu Monkey Cafe and Starbucks are closed. A sign posted on one of two entrances of Starbucks said those who use mobile orders can visit the store Sunday to request a refund.
Stan Tran, owner of Sweet Basil Thai House, said the street was closed as of 9:30 this morning. He also said stores from Panda West Chinese Restaurant all way to eastward Starbucks are affected by the water main break and this is fourth water main break happened in the last two days in the city of Syracuse, based on a conversation he had with a construction worker.
Steve Papazides, manager of Acropolis Pizza House, said when his store closed at 4 in the morning, everything was normal.
