After strong performances at the 2018 Stanford Invitational highlighted by Philo Germano’s second-place finish in the men’s 5000-meters, the Syracuse track team wrapped up the beginning to its outdoor season at the 2018 Pepsi Florida Relays and Raleigh Relays.

On Saturday morning in the Raleigh Relays, Dominic Hockenbury took home a 21st place finish in the men’s 10000-meters with a time of 29:36.64. Kevin James finished behind him in 27th and Joe Dragon placed 34th.

In Florida, the Orange only had team relays left to run. The men’s 4×100-meter team composed of Winston Lee, Kashif Miller, David Gilstrap and Matt Moore placed 12th with a time of 40.73 seconds. On the women’s side, the team of Justice Richardson, Kadejhia Sellers, Imani Clark and Eunice Boateng clocked in at 13th with a time of 45.37 seconds.

Syracuse will have another busy weekend ahead as runners will split between the Sam Howell Invite at Princeton University starting on Friday and the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational at the University of Miami on Saturday.
