Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble | Setnor Ensemble Series
The Syracuse University Symphony Orchestra will perform alongside the SU Wind Ensemble. Scott Cuellar, a guest pianist, and artist Michael Hernandez will join them. SUSO plays music from across four centuries, pairing Beethoven with 20th century pieces. The wind ensemble is the premiere wind organization on campus and performs music from underrepresented artists.
When: Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Compost and Plant Propagation Event
SU will celebrate Sustainability Month by teaching the community how to propagate plants. A student will assist in planting propagated plants and discuss composting. The first 25 students can take their propagated plants home. The event will be held outside Schine Student Center if weather permits.
When: Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.

La Joven Guardia del Teatro Presents: La Vida es Sueño
The Community Folk Arts Center is showcasing “La Joven Guardia del Teatro Presents: La Vida es Sueño (Life is a Dream).” The theater performance is entirely in Spanish. There are nightly showings this week and tickets cost $5.
When: Wednesday through Saturday at 8 p.m.

Malmgren Concert Series – “Lamentation and Joy”
Marques L.A. Garrett joins the Setnor School of Music and SU Oratorio Society choirs in Hendricks Chapel on Thursday. They will perform “The Cry of Jeremiah” by renowned composer Rosephayne Powell, based on the 29th chapter of the Biblical book Jeremiah. Garrett last visited SU for a performance with the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers in March 2023.

Indigenous People’s Day
Celebrate Indigenous People’s Day early at 113 Euclid with SU’s Native Student Program. The organization will make traditional strawberry juice with visitors. Strawberries, considered a gift from the Creator in Haudenosaunee culture, are used for juice to promote health and used in various ceremonies.
When: Friday at 5 p.m.
