Class of 2017 linebacker Tyrell Richards commits to Syracuse
A Canadian linebacker in the Class of 2017, Tyrell Richards, committed to Syracuse on Saturday afternoon he said in an announcement on Twitter.
Proud to say that I have committed to the University of Syracuse thank you to @CoachTomKaufman and the rest of the Syracuse staff

“I’m feeling great about my decision,” the Brampton, Ontario native said. “… (Syracuse) is a great football school with a great tradition.”
The Central Peel Secondary School senior is not on any major recruiting sites beside Scout.com, where he is unranked and listed as 6-foot-3 and 218 pounds.
A major factor in choosing Syracuse was that it is only a three-hour drive from his home, he said.
Richards is the Orange’s fifth commit in the Class of 2017 and the second linebacker, joining Michigan outside linebacker Zach Morton.
