Patrick Farmer is undefeated as head coach of the Syracuse women’s soccer team. The Orange improved to 2-0 in Sunday’s 1-0 double-overtime victory at RAC Field in Buffalo.

Junior midfielder Jenna Richter ended the scoreless tie, scoring from 10 yards out after a Buffalo defender headed a corner kick. She beat Buffalo goalkeeper Anna Lesa Calvert for her first career goal in the 109th minute.

SU senior Shannon Myers stopped five shots for her 12th career shutout. The Orange has now started its season 2-0 for the third time in four years.

UB lost for the first time in its home opener since 1993.
